What a busy week this has been! It started with our Patron’s Mgr Larry Duffy’s Ordination as Bishop of Clogher Diocese on Sunday 10th February which 3 members attended in Monaghan Cathedral, (mine was unplanned, but I was so grateful to have able to attend.) It was a very special ceremony. It lasted nearly 3 hours, but one never felt the time passing.
On Tuesday, we had our 4th AGM, chairwoman Mrs Marie Lilley. Guest speakers were Fr Joseph Mwongela, VG, Kitui Diocese and Fr La Flynn, Prior of Lough Derg, who had served in that Diocese for 4 years. Their input and encouragement was greatly appreciated.
Then on Thursday, we met Fr Peter Muvea, a friend of Fr Duffy’s, who had also traveled from Kitui for Sunday’s Ordination. It was a joyous reunion and a pleasant time was had by all.
