Preparations are well underway for the above on Saturday, 1st December in the Delaney Suite, Mahon’s Hotel, Irvinestown. All proceeds go to help poor people in Miambani, Kenya. This year we were requested to pay school fees for children whose parents are too poor. We’re currently supporting children at 3 levels, primary, secondary and university. Last year we helped to feed 223 children at primary school. Thankfully the famine has now receded, the question is for how long? The 80% of people in the area are poor farmers depending on rain for the crops to grow. If only we could send them some of ours!!!
